Matthew Wizinsky to present at NYU Conference
Matthew Wizinsky, School of Design faculty and UIC Innovation Center researcher, will be presenting at the Research Foundations for Understanding Books and Reading in the Digital Age conference, Sept 26–27 at NYU. Wizinsky will share current and ongoing research into paper interfaces—methods by which the printed page can be used to control multimedia experiences within learning environments. His experimentation in the use of conductive inks has shaped a new area of typographic exploration that seeks to blend the constraints of drawing functional circuits with the creation of new forms of legible letters. Touch a letter to play video. Trace the words on the page with your fingertip to expand a collection of digital media.
