Marcia Lausen receives AIGA Medal
Marcia Lausen, Director of the School of Design and Professor of Graphic Design, was awarded the AIGA Medal at a Gala celebration in New York City on May 14. The AIGA Medal, the most distinguished honor in the profession, is awarded to individuals in recognition of their exceptional achievements, services, or other contriibutions to the field of design and visual communication. Since 1920, the Medal has been awarded to those who have set a standard of excellence over a lifetime of work or have made individual contributions to innovation within the practice of design.
Marcia was awarded for demonstrating design's influence through Design for Democracy, and for her leadership in teaching how to remain relevant in a rapidly changing world.
