Stephen Melamed invited to serve on board of Design House

Design House is a nonprofit organization founded by president of Teams Design USA, Paul Hatch, tech entrepreneur Susan Page Estes, and design entrepreneur Pam Daniels Design House seeks to keep the manufacturing of products designed locally in the area by tapping into Chicago’s emerging maker movement and the city’s long-established industrial-design community.The founders liken their effort to the farm-to-table movement in which chefs help local farmers develop products that local restaurants can use. 

Stephen Melamed, Clinical Professsor of Industrial Design in the UIC School of Design and Associate Director of the UIC Innovation Center, will serve on the Board of Directors of Design House. His involvement will bridge people and programs of UIC Design with an organization that shares our interests and values.
