Ted Burdett & Strand Design create furniture for "Divergent" film set

After months of secrecy, Ted Burdett, Instructor UIC Industrial Design, is able to real that his studio, StrandDesign was comissioned to design and build all of the furniture for the "Abnegation" set in the film "Divergent." In addition to new works, several of Strand's signature products are featured in the film; the Tripod Table and the Seven Desk Lamp are featured in the opening scenes.
