Brian Anderson, Fulbright U.S. Scholar

The School of Design would like to congratulate Brian Anderson, Associate Professor of Industrial Design, who has received the prestigious Fulbright U.S. Scholar Award.

In his practice, Brian Anderson studies both traditional techniques and modern innovations in ceramics. Funded by the Fulbright Award, Brian will collaborate with artisans and researchers in Japan to imagine new developments in ceramics that meld local traditions and advanced fabrication technologies.

The award will allow Brian to work in Japan during the 2024–25 academic year and expand his international collaborations focused on ecologically and socially responsive ceramics production.
